2018: An original member of the inaugural Louisville City team, McCabe started 26 matches for his side in 2018 while recording six goals on 13 shots on target, two of his goals coming in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs against Indy Eleven. The Irishman added another six assists 2,272 minutes of play. The Young Harris College graduate returns for his fifth season with the “Boys in Purple” in 2019.
2017: After staying in Louisville for offseason rehab, he returned to the pitch March 25 as a second half substitute against Saint Louis FC...On March 30, McCabe assisted teammate Luke Spencer on a goal against Orlando City B...Scored his first goal of the year June 17 in a home win over the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. Since then, McCabe has found the back of the net twice more. The midfielder is also tied for third in the team in assists with three.
2016: McCabe tallied 2 goals and 4 assists in his second season with LouCity. Both goals came against Toronto FC II, one on May 4 in a 4-1 road win before another June 21 in a 2-0 victory at Slugger Field. While holding down the 10 spot in the attacking midfield, he registered a pair of assists in a 4-1 win April 9 against Orlando City B and also assisted in victories April 22 against the Harrisburg City Islanders and June 18 over the Rochester Rhinos. McCabe didn’t play after Aug. 10, as he elected for season-ending surgery that would have him ready for the 2017 season.
2015: McCabe appeared in 27 of 28 regular-season matches and started 17 of them during LouCity’s inaugural campaign. The midfielder scored 4 goals, all of which came on the road. His goal against Toronto FC II on May 16 gave LouCity the lead in the second half, and his late equalizer Aug. 15 in Tulsa helped LouCity escape with a point. McCabe finished the season third on the team in shots on on goal with 16, and his nine points were good for fifth.
Before Louisville City: Played for NPSL side Chattanooga FC, leading them to the NPSL finals against New York Cosmos B. He attended Division II Young Harris College in Georgia, the same alma mater as teammates Paco Craig and Ilija Ilic.
