2018: Another member of the trio of player-coaches following the midseason leave of former head coach James O’Connor, Davis IV started in 27 matches while appearing in a total of 34 throughout the 2018 campaign. His eight goals were good for third on the LouCity roster in 2018 while finishing third in total shots (41) and adding two assists. The former Richmond Kicker returns for his third campaign as a member of the Louisville City roster in 2019.
2017: Back in the attacking midfield following his debut campaign with LouCirty, he shifted from the wing to the 10 spot to open the season and made an immediate impact...Voted Man of the Match for a March 30 away game at Orlando City B after scoring and assisting on a goal in a 3-1 win...At the season's halfway point, his four goals were tied for the team lead.
2016: Davis IV finished as LouCity's second-leading scorer, netting five goals during the regular season and one in the playoffs, a game-winner Oct. 2 against his former club, the Richmond Kickers. The midfielder also came up big on his 29th birthday, scoring both goals Aug. 5 in a victory over the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. The win snapped a two-game LouCity losing skid. Davis IV totaled 27 appearances.
Before Louisville City: Before signing with LouCity on Jan. 15, 2016, Davis IV tallied 19 goals and made 53 appearances over two seasons for the Richmond Kickers. There, he was named to the all-USL first team after named to other postseason lists during his time with the Los Angeles Blues and Dayton Dutch Lions. Davis IV began his collegiate career at Bowling Green State University before transferring to the University of Kentucky prior to his junior year. During college, Davis also played with the Cleveland Internationals in the USL Premier Development League.
