Title:  Account Executive, Corporate Partnerships

Reports To:  Director, Sales: pdenbow@louisvillecityfc.com

Compensation:  Base salary + commission

Job Description:   The Account Executive, Corporate Partnerships is responsible for driving new partnership revenue as part of LouCity’s new, soccer-specific stadium opening by identifying, developing and retaining local, regional and national corporate partners for the club.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and research new sales leads; make calls; win meetings; earn business; retain and grow partnerships
  • Sell partnership assets in-stadium, across television and radio game broadcasts, in the community, and across owned social media and digital properties, including website, app, and e-newsletter
  • Sell season tickets and group tickets as part of corporate partnerships
  • Identify key open partner categories and assets, as well as new categories and new assets to sell to generate new business revenue
  • Conduct cold calls to set meetings with new prospects 
  • Grow corporate partnership revenue by retaining and developing existing relationships
  • Create compelling sales presentations to Senior Level decision makers incorporating a clear understanding of the prospective partners marketing and business objectives
  • Cultivate new and existing partner relationships to achieve personal and department sales goals
  • Present business updates, new opportunities and industry-driven initiatives to the management team, sales leaders and owners as required
  • Complete all administrative responsibilities and reporting accurately and on time
  • Track sales and sponsorship inventory throughout season
  • Work game nights; support game day operations, activate sponsorships, and entertain existing partners and new business prospects
  • Attend outside networking events with the purpose of selling corporate partnerships and building a prospective client list of qualified accounts
  • Conduct business during non-traditional hours, taking advantage of game and events to interact with clients and prospects
  • Create touch-point campaigns each season to ensure that a mutually beneficial partnership exists
  • Work closely with Partnership fulfillment and activation staff to ensure clients receive a superior level of customer service and fulfillment of their contract
  • Coordinate intern staff associated with partnership fulfillment and servicing
  • Communicate effectively across all areas of the organization
  • Assist with sponsor, marketing and/or broadcast-related projects, as assigned
  • Be a community and corporate ambassador for the club when needed
  • Develop other miscellaneous projects and fill other roles for the club as needed

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Business, Communications, Marketing or Management required
  • Minimum of Three (3) to five (5) years of partnership or enterprise sales and business development experience; sports industry preferred
  • Proficient understanding of how marketing/advertising assets are valued in-stadium, on television and radio, and across social media and other digital platforms
  • Self-motivated with a proven ability to achieve aggressive individual and team sales goals
  • Strong, proven understanding of the practices and principles related to the sales process and execution of corporate partnerships
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong positive working relationships with corporate clients and co-workers
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Creative and strategic thinker
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
